On behalf of Judge Norko and Judge Bozzuto and the Judicial Branch’s Self-represented Parties Workgroup, we announce that the Hartford Volunteer Attorney Program will resume in October, 2013 at 90 Washington Street in Hartford.
The Judicial Branch is once again seeking volunteer attorneys to participate in this program and provide legal assistance and advice to self-represented parties who have or may be commencing domestic and/or family support magistrate cases. Also, the Foreclosure Volunteer Attorney Program is expanding to Hartford this fall. The program, which currently operates in New Haven, Bridgeport, and Stamford, has assisted nearly 1,500 self-represented parties, thanks to the work of our 75 incredible volunteers. The Branch is seeking attorneys who are interested in volunteering their time to assist individuals with questions about the foreclosure process. Incentives to commend the pro bono service of volunteers will be offered. If you wish to participate in these Hartford programs, please see applications below and return.
The Judicial Branch is committed to providing equal access to justice to all of Connecticut’s citizens and we look forward to working with all of you on this very worthwhile endeavor.
Please do not hesitate to contact Krista Hess with any questions.
