CLE – New Laws, Rules of Practice and What’s on the Horizon for General Practitioners

This CLE program will provide an overview of new laws and Superior Court rules of practice. It is ideal for solo, small firm and general practitioners.

A panel consisting of a Superior Court judge, a lawyer-legislator, town attorney, and lawyer-lobbyist will discuss:

  • New laws effective recently; Oct.1, 2014; or thereafter affecting various practice areas, including: real estate, environmental, commercial law & bankruptcy, Freedom of Information Act; planning and development, municipalities, and civil and criminal law.
  • New Superior Court rules affecting civil practice and procedure.
  • What to expect from the General Assembly and state government for legislation, policies and regulations affecting health care, insurance, business, and municipalities.

The program will provide all attorneys with practical information to remain current and informed about new laws and recent changes to rules of practice.
